Join Ostrom, a leading European energy management platform company, as a Mid-level QA Engineer. You will be a key member of cross-functional product squads, ensuring high-quality software delivery across mobile and web platforms. Your responsibilities include owning mid-sized QA initiatives, designing automated test suites, performing manual and automated testing, collaborating with developers and product managers, suggesting process improvements, and mentoring other QA team members. Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in software QA, across both manual and automated testing
- Skilled in writing and maintaining test automation for mobile applications
- Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile practices, and the testing pyramid
- Proficient in API testing (e.g., Postman) and testable code practices
- Familiar with SQL and database testing, especially PostgreSQL
- Confident with Git, CI pipelines, and mobile test automation frameworks
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to assess QA risk in terms of business impact and communicate clearly
- Eager to mentor, learn, and contribute to customer-focused product development
Responsibilities
- Own mid-sized QA initiatives and lead test planning within your squad
- Initiate, Design and maintain automated UI and API test suites
- Write robust test cases covering edge cases, failure paths, and key user flows
- Perform manual and automated testing for new features and releases
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to scope QA efforts and identify risks early
- Suggest process improvements and help resolve recurring quality issues
- Participate in sprint planning and kick-offs, contributing test strategies and timelines
- Support release monitoring using observability tools and metrics
- Mentor other QA team members through pairing, reviews, and documentation
- Share knowledge and help foster a strong, collaborative QA culture
