QA Engineering Manager

Summary

This role requires 10-12 years of full-time product testing experience, including 4-6 years in a lead/manager role, and hands-on experience with testing automation and CI/CD systems.

Requirements

• Software QA Manager with 10-12 years of experience in the full-time product testing role
• You should have 10-12 years of experience in the full-time testing role and at least 4-6 years in hands-on testing role as lead/manager
• Handle technical, team-related escalations from the client and provide resolutions
• Hands-on QA experience including testing automation
• Deep knowledge of automation best practices and industry trends
• Configure CI/CD systems such as Jenkins
• Support functional testing teams as Test automation consultant in Setup, Planning, POC, Delivery, Training, and handover of test automation solutions
• Experience in non functional testing areas

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day quality assurance operations
• Participate in interviewing, hiring and onboarding QA team members
• Lead and manage the QA team, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance evaluations
• Set goals and objectives for the QA team and ensure they are aligned with the overall business objectives
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the QA team
• Assist with testing and debugging software
• Set quality standards and communicate them to team members
• Develop and implement the overall QA strategy and roadmap for the organization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality standards, processes, and methodologies for software development
• Plan and allocate resources effectively to achieve project goals and meet deadlines
• Setting quality standards for the teams in various new testing technologies in the industry
• This may include finding new strategies for automation testing and day-to-day work processes
• Oversee the design and implementation of test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure comprehensive test coverage
• Review and analyze software requirements and design specifications to identify potential quality issues
• Conduct and oversee functional, integration, system, and regression testing to ensure software meets quality standards
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes
• Define and track key quality metrics to measure the effectiveness of QA processes and identify areas for improvement
• Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on the status of quality assurance activities
• Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to communicate quality-related information and address any concerns or issues
