QA Engineering Manager

Requirements

• 7 years of experience in QA, including 2-3 years in team or test management and 3-4 years as a hands-on QA individual contributor
• Proven experience in introducing and scaling new tools and processes within the QA field
• Deep experience in testing web or native mobile applications at all levels (frontend, backend, API, database)
• A strong understanding (even if theoretical) of how to introduce automation across various test levels, with a willingness to explore and implement automation where possible
• Extensive experience with agile development methodologies and a commitment to agile principles
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to adapt your style to various audiences - constructive, open-minded, and effective in both giving and receiving feedback
• A natural ability to lead by example, motivating your team to continuously improve and embrace change
• A passion for setting up and refining efficient testing and release processes, always looking for ways to optimize and evolve
• A solid understanding of KPIs, with the ability to track, measure, and drive quality improvements based on data and insights

Responsibilities

• Lead the assignment of QA professionals across Engineering squads to ensure continuous, high-quality testing and on-time product delivery that meets key business priorities
• Partner closely with the QA Director and leadership team to define and refine the overall QA strategy, ensuring its successful implementation by both QA Engineers and Software Engineers
• Offer expert guidance on testing methodologies, tools, and best practices, ensuring squads are equipped to maintain and enhance product quality
• Contribute to the development and execution of risk-driven, cost-efficient quality management strategies, driven by data and quality metrics analysis
