QA Lead

Join ISMG, a global intelligence firm and media organization, as a QA Team Lead to lead our Quality Assurance function and ensure the delivery of flawless software products. You will be responsible for maintaining exceptional quality standards throughout the software development life cycle, with a strong emphasis on data QA and front-end QA. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in QA methodologies, test automation, and a proven track record of leading high-performing QA teams. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to establish quality standards, oversee testing processes, and implement solutions to enhance product quality. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field, proven experience as a QA Team Lead, and expertise in QA methodologies and test automation.

Requirements

• Have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Have proven experience as a QA Team Lead, or similar role, with a strong background in software quality assurance
• Demonstrate expertise in QA methodologies, test planning, test case development, and test execution
• Have intermediate proficiency at minimum in SQL or alternative query building tools
• Demonstrate experience in web technologies
• Have proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools with a focus on continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
• Have a solid understanding of Agile development methodologies and the software development life cycle
• Have a proven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects on time and with high quality
• Possess excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail with a passion for delivering high-quality software products
• Possess exceptional communication and collaboration skills with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Lead QA efforts in a hands-on capacity, conducting front-end testing as well as back-end testing, including testing large data sets
• Develop data validation processes and tools, managing a reference data set that will be used to test ongoing changes to a core application
• Define and implement comprehensive QA strategies, test plans, and processes to ensure the highest level of software quality
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Development, Product Management, and Design, to establish quality standards and metrics for projects
• Oversee the design and execution of test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios to validate software functionality, performance, and security
• Implement and maintain test automation frameworks and tools to optimize testing efficiency and accuracy
• Monitor and analyze test results, identify and prioritize defects and areas for improvement, and ensure timely and accurate bug reporting
• Establish and enforce QA best practices, processes, and guidelines to drive consistency and reliability across all projects
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in QA methodologies to continually improve the QA function
• Monitor all QA activities, test results, leaked defects, etc. and conduct root-cause analysis to identify areas of improvement and implement steps required to improve the processes
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand customer feedback and issues and implement solutions to enhance product quality and user experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Have a certification in software quality assurance
• Have experience with versioning control and Docker
• Have the ability to install and configure relevant testing tools
