QA Lead

Summary

Join us as a QA Lead and define, implement, and oversee the quality assurance strategy across all project deliverables. You will develop comprehensive test plans, lead a team of QA engineers, and ensure solutions meet rigorous standards. This critical role involves identifying and mitigating risks early in development. You will contribute to delivering high-quality, robust solutions. Responsibilities include developing and refining QA strategies, leading and mentoring a QA team, overseeing testing activities, and collaborating with other teams. You will also establish quality metrics, implement test automation, and conduct root cause analysis.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a lead, senior, or managerial QA role
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and comprehensive QA principles
• Extensive experience with test management tools, defect tracking systems, and test automation frameworks
• Hands-on experience with test automation scripting (e.g., Python for testing, Selenium) and performance testing tools
• Proven ability to effectively lead, motivate, and manage a team of QA professionals
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously refine comprehensive quality assurance strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases for various projects and deliverables
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers, assigning tasks, providing guidance, fostering skill development, and promoting a culture of quality excellence
• Oversee the execution of all testing activities, including functional, integration, system, regression, and performance testing, ensuring thorough coverage
• Identify, meticulously document, and track defects, collaborating closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution and retesting
• Establish and maintain key quality metrics and reporting mechanisms to monitor testing progress, product quality, and overall project health
• Collaborate effectively with project managers, business analysts, and developers to ensure a shared understanding of requirements, design specifications, and quality expectations
• Implement and manage test automation frameworks and tools to enhance testing efficiency, improve coverage, and accelerate release cycles
• Conduct root cause analysis for identified defects and recommend preventive measures and process improvements to enhance overall solution quality
• Participate actively in design reviews, technical discussions, and code reviews to provide early feedback on potential quality issues and ensure testability
• Ensure all QA processes, testing activities, and deliverables adhere to industry best practices, organizational standards, and relevant compliance requirements

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications in Quality Assurance (e.g., ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Level), Six Sigma, or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) are highly beneficial
