QA Manager

Summary

Join AllTrails as a QA Manager and help ensure every user experience meets the highest quality standards. You will lead and mentor a team of quality engineers, develop and scale QA strategies, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous learning. This is a remote U.S.-based position, with Bay Area employees encouraged to come into the office one day a week. The role involves managing a team, developing QA strategies, monitoring quality metrics, providing technical expertise, and fostering a collaborative culture. Requirements

• 5+ years QA experience
• 2+ years of QA Management experience
• Excellent knowledge of Risk Identification, Risk Management and Risked Based Testing
• Strong technical skills, both functional and non-functional, ideally in a continuous delivery environment
• Self motivation and a deep sense of pride in your work
• Scrappy, creative problem solver who is willing to dive in wherever is needed
• Passion for the outdoors
• Comfort with ambiguity and an instinct for moving quickly
• Humility, empathy and open-mindedness - no egos
• AI Native: You naturally incorporate AI tools to enhance your work. You’re comfortable writing prompts, evaluating AI outputs, and enjoy experimenting with new ways to boost creativity, productivity, and decision-making

Responsibilities

• Managing and mentoring a team of experienced and passionate quality engineers
• Developing manual QA strategy, methodology, discipline and framework
• Monitoring and analyzing key process and quality metrics; driving corrective and preventive action plans to ensure ongoing improvement
• Providing technical expertise in Testing Methodologies, Testing Processes, Tools and Techniques
• Fostering a quality, accountability, and collaboration culture across the organization

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with backend and/or web application testing from design to release
• Experience with web technologies like HTML, CSS, Javascript
• Experience with SQL and databases
• Familiarity with ZenDesk, UnitQ
