Recovery Specialist I

Summary

Join our team as a Recovery Specialist I, providing compassionate consulting services to local, state, federal, and industry clients in disaster response, recovery, and preparedness. This temporary position offers $35-37/hour compensation with up to 50% travel expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject-matter expertise in a wide range of duties directly related to grant management activities of the Stafford Act programs
• Provide guidance, oversight, and general assistance to subrecipients in preparing documentation, invoices, and information to request reimbursement for approved federally funded programs
• Conducts reviews of supporting documentation for the assigned grants to ensure that each subrecipient receives appropriate reimbursement for approved federally funded programs
• Provides reconciliation and accounting of supporting documentation for the assigned grants to ensure that each subrecipient will have an audit quality file
• Attend and participate in all assigned job-related training opportunities
• Assist with preparing client training events, information sessions, and materials
• Use knowledge and best practices to consult on decisions of portions of project tasks and individual work assigned
• During a disaster, you may be called into the field to support relief efforts or assist with organizing responses to support advanced roles in emergency situations and/or activations
• Perform other duties as assigned
