Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data center operations
• 2+ years of prior experience in managing staff in a data center environment
• Solid understanding of data center infrastructure, including power distribution, cooling systems, networking, and security
• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for data center operations and management
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure
• Proven project management abilities with the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of data center leads, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
• Manage staff schedules, assignments, and performance, ensuring optimal workforce allocation and productivity
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback, training, and development opportunities for team members
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of all data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, networking, and security systems
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to plan and execute data center builds and expansions
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and deployment of data center equipment and infrastructure
• Ensure timely completion of data center projects, meeting quality standards and budgetary constraints
• Regularly conduct safety inspections and risk assessments, taking appropriate actions to mitigate potential hazards
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to data center operations
• Monitor and maintain the overall health of data center facilities, proactively addressing any issues that may arise

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of cloud computing technologies and virtualization is a plus
• Certifications such as CDCP (Certified Data Center Professional) or DCM (Data Center Management) are advantageous
