Regional Inventory Control Specialist

Requirements

• Extensive background in inventory management or a related field
• Proven experience leading time-sensitive inventory projects
• Experience training and coaching team members
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with asset management software
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy

• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Accurately record receipt of all inbound deliveries into ERP system in a timely manner, noting any discrepancies for immediate attention
• Maintain an accurate inventory of all hardware and other IT assets within the data center, including servers, networking equipment, and other hardware and materials
• Onboard and train personnel to assume inventory responsibilities following completion of the data center’s build phase
• Conduct audits of the asset inventory to verify accuracy and completeness, and make necessary updates to the inventory records
• Collaborate with the operations team to allocate resources efficiently, ensuring that hardware and materials are available when needed and optimizing utilization
• Coordinate the shipping and receiving of IT materials and ensure their safe storage and distribution within the data center and to other facilities
• Keep detailed records of inventory, shipments, and audits, and provide regular reports to management
• Utilize inventory management software and other tools to maintain accurate records
• Maintain open and effective communication with various teams, including Operations, Engineering, IT, Procurement, and Finance to ensure smooth workflow
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory records and take proactive measures to prevent inventory-related issues
• Be available to travel extensively within the designated region to lead build-specific inventory and training at various data center locations
