Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years in sales with a focus on robotics, automation, or AI technologies in a B2B environment
  • Deep understanding of industrial automation, robotics, and AI applications in manufacturing
  • Demonstrated success in managing and closing complex sales cycles
  • A track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a technical sales environment
  • Strong understanding of robotics, AI, and automation technologies
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical solutions in an accessible way to decision-makers at all levels
  • Ability to identify customer pain points and deliver innovative AI-driven robotic solutions
  • Strong negotiation skills and an ability to close deals with both technical and business decision-makers
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, Automation, Business, or a related field
  • Willingness to travel as needed for customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events
  • Goal of 4 days in front of customers a week. Up to 50% Travel

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a sales strategy targeting clients in the factory automation and AI robotics space
  • Identify key business opportunities, build relationships, and expand market share by promoting AI-driven automation solutions
  • Build and nurture relationships with new and existing Partners and Customers, understanding their needs and providing AI-integrated robotic solutions tailored to their manufacturing processes
  • Leverage your knowledge of robotics, AI, and automation to educate and advise customers on how our solutions can enhance productivity, efficiency, and safety
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of AI applications in robotics, such as machine learning for predictive maintenance, computer vision, and adaptive automation
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations, product demos, and workshops, both in-person and virtually
  • Show customers how AI-powered robotic systems can solve complex manufacturing challenges
  • Manage the entire sales cycle—from prospecting and qualification to proposal development, contract negotiations, and deal closing
  • Manage both Direct and Indirect business
  • Stay up-to-date on trends in robotics, AI, and factory automation, as well as emerging technologies like collaborative robots (cobots) and AI-powered analytics
  • Monitor competitors’ offerings and identify opportunities for differentiation
  • Partner closely with Applications engineering, product development, and technical support teams to ensure that customer specifications are met
  • Provide customer feedback to inform product and service innovations
  • Maintain accurate CRM records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to management
  • Act as a thought leader in the integration of AI in robotics
  • Educate clients on the benefits of AI, including automation of complex tasks, real-time decision-making, and improved operational efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience specifically in factory automation, robotics, or AI applications in manufacturing
  • Familiarity with AI concepts such as machine learning, computer vision, edge computing, and IoT as they relate to robotics
  • Previous experience selling AI-integrated solutions
  • A technical background

  • Base pay for this role is $100,000 to $150,000 with significant bonus compensation based on achieving goals
