Release Coordinator

The ideal candidate possesses 3+ years of experience in project or release management within software development, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities. This role requires close collaboration with the Technical Program Manager to support the Product Development and Engineering divisions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in project management or release management
• Experience in software release management
• Knowledge and understanding of software development life cycles
• Proven ability to independently manage multiple product releases simultaneously
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Skilled at setting and meeting timelines
• Aptitude to pick up new concepts and technology rapidly
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently, as well as in a remote team environment

Responsibilities

• Plan release lifecycle and coordination across multiple products, services and teams
• Handle coordination of multiple releases and their dependencies
• Collaborate with other teams, both inside and outside of the Innovation Department to ensure a clear understanding of program and project scope, release notes and known issues
• Identify bottlenecks, risks, or blocks related to the release plan and work with the team to resolve or mitigate issues that may affect the release scope and timing
• Coordinate cross-departmentally on project and program releases and schedules
• Maintain a release calendar for each product to have a centralized view of all releases
• Measure and monitor progress of releases
• Work closely with the Technical Program Manager to help maintain all programs and projects in Product Development and Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic understanding of business intelligence tools and data analytics
• Experience coordinating releases with multiple working groups and workstream branches
• Understanding of continuous delivery and continuous integration (CD/CI)
• Experience using Confluence, Jira and Bitbucket
• Ability to work calmly, effectively, and flexibly with a diverse set of personalities
• Understanding of Tessitura Network technology, functionality and services
