Remote Associate, Portfolio Management

The Associate, Portfolio Management will join our Client Solutions Group under the direction of our Managing Director of the Investment Strategy Group. In our fast-paced environment, this key role will work closely with the Advisors, our ISG division, Director of Technology Platform, CCO and Practice leadership. The Associate will be tasked with keeping track of client portfolios, making sure that they are staying within target allocation and client cash targets are addressed.  The role will also work to assist advisors with setup of householding portfolio in our trading system facilitating strategy and other portfolio management/trading needs.

Primary Responsibilities

• Update and maintain the firm’s trading systems including Centralized Trading Platform models and strategies.
• Oversee and take ownership of portfolio management and trading systems, including setup, and any client maintenance on all managed client trades within the Centralized Trading Platform.
• Monitor several views to make sure that all client households are in tolerance to their IPS, do not need cash, or have cash to invest, and proactively identify possible trading for our clients.
• Evaluate current client portfolios that are eligible to join the platform and become a liaison for the advisor during onboarding and implementation of clients.
• Document clients that may be out of tolerance, are going through implementation, or have other exceptions to manage.
• Support Chief Compliance Officer with providing SEC compliant and internal audit reports from trading.
• Assist and gather analysis/research on the firm’s strategies and approved list.
• Develop and supply advisors with collateral including trade/implementation proposals, client strategies & asset location.
• Help advisors with questions on trading systems and ability to troubleshoot/find solutions to portfolio needs including analysis.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or other related concentration
• 1-3 years of experience in the financial industry with an emphasis on trading; portfolio/strategy management background is a plus
• Above average proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
• Knowledge or familiarity with CRM software, cloud-based storage, Schwab Institutional, Fidelity, Smartleaf, and Black Diamond trading systems a plus
• Well versed in asset location, tax loss harvesting, and other trading strategies.
• Have or able to obtain Series 65 license within 120 days of start date
• High attention to detail and accuracy while meeting deadlines
• Experience with financial reporting, billing, and trading systems
• Strong analytical skills

Expected annual salary ranges from $70,000 to $90,000 plus incentive compensation.
