About the Role

Our client is is developing a series of children’s books focused on nutrition, exercise, and sleep. The project aims to educate young readers about health and wellness through engaging illustrations that are somewhat realistic yet cute and artistic. This remote position offers the opportunity to work on an initial book with potential for ongoing collaboration as the series expands.

Responsibilities:

• Create illustrations for a children’s book series on health and wellness topics

• Develop character designs and visual concepts that appeal to young readers

• Collaborate closely with the author to bring story concepts to life visually

• Produce high-quality, somewhat realistic yet cute and artistic illustrations

• Ensure illustrations accurately depict health-related concepts in an age-appropriate manner

• Proven experience as a children’s book illustrator, with a portfolio demonstrating a style that balances realism with cute, artistic elements

• Strong understanding of child-friendly design and illustration techniques

• Ability to convey health and wellness concepts visually in an engaging way for young audiences

• Excellent digital illustration skills, proficiency with industry-standard software
