Requirements

  • BSc in Computer Science/ industrial engineering or equivalent
  • 1+ years experience as Snowflake DBA and over all 3+ years as DBA
  • Hands on experience with Shell scripting and Python
  • Diagnose Database problems and implement Solutions
  • Experience working with Snowflake Support for raising tickets and triaging outages
  • Be able to review DDLs and apply standards
  • Good Understanding of Snowflake ODBC, JDBC drivers as well as SnowSQL in terms of usage as well as troubleshooting any issues
  • Experience with Development Tools to create CI/CD

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain the Snowflake environment, ensuring it runs smoothly and meets performance, scalability, and security standards
  • Monitor data pipelines, warehouses, and ensure optimal performance of the platform
  • Implement resource optimization strategies to control costs and improve efficiency
  • Perform Administrative tasks like DDL creation, user creation, account level parameter changes etc within Snowflake Database
  • Ensure proper data governance, security policies, and best practices are followed within Snowflake
  • Manage access controls and permissions, ensuring the right teams and users have appropriate data access
  • Build and refresh Snowflake environments
  • Configure and maintain data source connectors using Fivetran and CDATA
