Remote Campus Policy Research Intern

Summary

Join the Stand Together Fellowships as a Campus Policy Research Intern and assist in policy research for the Student Rights Campaign (SRC) by identifying policies on college campuses that are not representative of classical liberal values. You will work alongside student leaders to change these policies on college campuses, providing a civic education through active learning.

Requirements

• Experience in grassroots advocacy or political organizing
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple remote projects

• Experience in policy research and a willingness to learn state law

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and activate petition lists to mobilize support
• Conduct thorough research on school policies and student challenges to inform advocacy strategies
• Ensure an optimal environment in state law for policy change
• Study, develop, and evolve current ideal policies for campus environments
• Establish and support student-led chapters at targeted schools with harmful policies through remote guidance
• Recruit and train student leaders on Civic Action via virtual sessions
• Equip chapters with the necessary skills and knowledge to advocate for policy change
• Build and maintain relationships with student activists, faculty, and administrative bodies through virtual engagement
• Engage with campus communities remotely to invigorate campus around policy change
• Track the progress of campaigns, evaluate their impact, and ensure alignment with SRC goals
• Provide regular reports on the successes and challenges of each chapter
