Client Game Developer

Summary

Join Wargaming's Core Stream Team as a Senior Gameplay Developer for World of Tanks and work primarily with C++ and Python. You will develop, support, and enhance key game mechanics, focusing on random battles, and collaborate with the game engine for seamless integration. The role involves creating new game modes and logic, developing high-performance in-game components, improving the technology stack, and writing tests. Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in commercial software development
• Strong knowledge of basic data structures and algorithms
• Development experience in C++ and/or Python
• Knowledge of design patterns
• Experience in developing asynchronous/multithreaded applications
• Knowledge of CPU and memory principles (RAM, ROM, cache, virtual memory, swap file, etc.)
• Knowledge of the basics of computer networks

Responsibilities

• Participate in the creation of new game modes and logic on the game client
• Develop high performance (in terms of memory and execution time) in-game components
• Improve and develop the existing technology stack
• Cover the functionality with tests

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience of working with game engines
• Passion for computer games
• Gamedev experience
