We're looking for a Compliance Auditor to perform internal compliance audits, support external audits, and create audit reports with recommendations.

Requirements

  • Any Bachelors degree preferably from Finance/Accounting background
  • 5 years of compliance experience, including 3+ years of experience in medical coding auditing required
  • Medical coding certificate required such as; CCS-P, CPC, or CPCA
  • Compliance certification preferred (CHC)
  • Proficient in Excel; i.e. pivot tables, lookups, advanced formulas
  • Strong knowledge of compliance programs and systems
  • Ability to prioritize work and exercise sound judgment
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular and ad hoc billing and coding audits and analyses
  • Prepares written reports of audit results, including recommendations for improvements and in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations
  • Works with audit tools and in accordance with related policies and procedures for the compliance program
  • Conducts auditing and monitoring activities and reviews necessary information at the direction of the Senior Director, to be in compliance with regulations and/or policies and procedures
  • Generates and maintains all audit documentation, reports, and recommendations
  • Communicates with the compliance analyst and the Senior Director regarding audit results and may provide that information to key stakeholders regarding audit findings and corrective actions if necessary
  • Provides ongoing status reports to the team
  • Creates and updates compliance reports and metrics in a timely manner
  • Regularly monitors compliance with recommendations as a result of audits performed
