Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred; Experience considered in lieu of degree
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with contracts
  • Current or prior experience working at VentureWell or similar organization in a full-time Contracting capacity required
  • High degree of digital fluency using cloud-based office tools such as G Suite, CRMs, team collaboration tools, and other web-based applications; ability to incorporate these tools into day-to-day work; specific experience with Financial/Accounting software (NetSuite or similar fund accounting software preferred)
  • Ability to succeed and thrive in an environment with competing and changing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Track record of an ability to build solid, collaborative working relationships; strong team player who enjoys being highly responsive and is oriented towards strong customer service
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Highly adaptable and comfortable working with a degree of ambiguity
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills with an ability to articulate and synthesize information in a compelling and organized manner

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and catalog process documents and agreement document templates for contracting paid for by Organizational, Foundational, Federal, and Routine funding, as assigned
  • Liaise between organizational and programmatic stakeholders for agreement and approval on scopes of work and terms and conditions
  • Fields and processes internal requests for contract support
  • Processes, record, and store agreements and delivery orders for review and execution
  • Tracks, manages, and communicates with Consultants and Vendors for materials required to satisfy agreement compliance conditions
  • Onboards new consultants and vendors as approved and requested
  • Supports other Contracting and Expense Team members with recording expenses and ad hoc requests
  • Facilitate and project manage programmatic stipends process and expense recording
  • Tracks and manages Consultant and Contractor commitments
  • Creates and delivers routine and ad hoc reporting to internal stakeholders as assigned or requested
  • Research and problem solve using precedent and policies for Contracting concerns and emergent programs
  • Development of process or procedure documentation to enhance or improve contracting operations
  • Training and participation in group meetings and department projects or objectives

Job description

About The Role:

VentureWell is seeking a Contracts Specialist to join our dynamic team in support our contracting processes across a variety of programs.  Your responsibilities will include drafting, reviewing and administering various contract types (including Firm Fixed Price and Time & Materials) and modifications.  VentureWell’s funding includes Federal contracting dollars, so Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) experience is highly preferred.  You will work closely with internal Programs teams to meet the contracting needs of their programs with an attention to the details that will contribute to the overall success of program goals. A thorough understanding of contracting principles, strong analytical skills and the ability to balance multiple tasks is required.

Responsibilities:

Program Contracting Support  (80-90% of time)
