Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field required; a Master’s degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture for product development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in the healthcare industry required
  • Deep understanding of relevant health care standards (HIPAA, DICOM, 21CFR), computer system validation, regional regulatory requirements
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering complex software projects on time and within budget
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in software development, including security, performance, and scalability, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and microservices architecture
  • Experience with scalable system design & containerization technologies such as docker
  • Proven expertise in risk management and regulatory compliance assessments, particularly in healthcare or other highly regulated environments
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions
  • Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly and concisely to various audiences
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop technical talent
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement and adapting to new challenges
  • Experience of leading teams in an ISO:62304 compliant environment
  • Knowledge of ISO:27001 preferred

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the technical strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's overall vision and goals
  • Oversee the end-to-end development process, from initial concept through to deployment and maintenance, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including our Global Leads Surgical Solutions, Digital Products and Dosimetry Applications, as well as quality, regulatory affairs to ensure seamless integration and alignment of digital products and hardware-integrated software
  • Drive the architecture and design of scalable, cloud-native, and maintainable software solutions, ensuring best practices and coding standards are followed
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and incorporate them into the engineering practices, including technologies such as AI/ML and edge computing
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory guidelines and standards, maintaining a focus on security, performance, scalability and reliability
  • Foster relationships with external partners, vendors, and research institutions to drive innovation and strategic initiatives
  • Manage the engineering budget, resources, and timelines, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources
  • Mentor and develop the engineering team, providing technical guidance and career development support

Telix Pharmaceuticals is a dynamic, fast-growing radiopharmaceutical company with offices in Australia (HQ), Belgium, Japan, Switzerland, and the United States.
