Requirements
- Advanced degree in life sciences (PharmD, PhD, MD/DO, or equivalent) is required
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in Medical Affairs, 7+ years of experience in field medical affairs, with 2+ years of experience in the dermatology therapeutic area
- Prior experience in managing and leading a team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs)
- In-depth knowledge of dermatology disease states, clinical trial design, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proven track record of establishing and maintaining relationships with KOLs and other external stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic biotech environment with a collaborative, cross-functional mindset

- Position requires up to 75% travel including for All Hands meetings, as well as regular overnight travel to meet with MSL team, clinical study site personnel and KOLs, and to attend scientific conferences, etc
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), providing strategic direction, professional development, and performance management
- Ensure MSLs are equipped to engage with healthcare professionals (HCPs), key opinion leaders (KOLs), and other external stakeholders, delivering scientific and medical information that aligns with corporate strategy
- Monitor and evaluate MSL activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, and Regulatory Affairs
- As needed, especially prior to expanding the MSL team, serve as the primary medical point of contact for key external stakeholders, including investigators, clinical site personnel, KOLs, and other healthcare providers
- Contribute to the development and execution of Medical Affairs strategies
- Provide scientific expertise and insights to help guide internal decision-making, clinical development, and lifecycle management
- Assist in the development and review of medical materials, publications, and field tools to ensure accuracy and scientific integrity
