Summary
Join Apogee Therapeutics as a Director, Field Medical Affairs (Dermatology) to lead and expand the field-based Medical Affairs team within the dermatology therapeutic area. The ideal candidate will have an advanced clinical or scientific degree and extensive experience in field medical affairs leadership within dermatology.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in life sciences (PharmD, PhD, MD/DO, or equivalent) is required
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in field medical affairs, with 2+ years of experience in the dermatology therapeutic area
- Prior experience in managing and leading a team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs)
- In-depth knowledge of dermatology disease states, clinical trial design, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proven track record of establishing and maintaining relationships with KOLs and other external stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic biotech environment with a collaborative, cross-functional mindset

Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), providing strategic direction, professional development, and performance management
- Ensure MSLs are equipped to engage with healthcare professionals (HCPs), key opinion leaders (KOLs), and other external stakeholders, delivering scientific and medical information that aligns with corporate strategy
- Monitor and evaluate MSL activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, and Regulatory Affairs
- As needed, especially prior to expanding the MSL team, serve as the primary medical point of contact for key external stakeholders, including investigators, clinical site personnel, KOLs, and other healthcare providers
- Contribute to the development and execution of Medical Affairs strategies
- Provide scientific expertise and insights to help guide internal decision-making, clinical development, and lifecycle management
- Assist in the development and review of medical materials, publications, and field tools to ensure accuracy and scientific integrity
