Requirements
- Broad and varied experience in software or SaaS experience in high-growth B2B environments
- Strong knowledge of key SaaS metrics (e.g. ACV, Customers, LTV, CAC, Cohort Analysis, GRR, NRR, IQRR, etc.)
- Advanced financial modelling skills (Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace applications) with the ability to swiftly and effectively translate ambiguity into succinct outputs
- Professional designation such as CPA, CFA, or an MBA; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven track record and enthusiasm for building, managing, mentoring, and inspiring teams and influencing peer organizations; ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently and proactively to deliver accurate, high-quality outputs with minimal oversight
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and eagerness to build strong partnerships with multiple cross-functional partners/stakeholders
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and writing skills with the proven ability to link business issues, financial results, and strategy and influence senior leadership, particularly those unfamiliar with financial concepts
- Influence: Asserts own ideas and persuades others, gaining support and commitment and mobilizing people to take action
- Process/Project Management: skilled at figuring out and managing the processes and timelines necessary to get work accomplished
- Problem Solving: uses an organized and logical approach to find solutions to complex problems. Looks beyond the obvious to understand the root cause of problems
- Proven ability to build relationships and communicate with peers, direct reports, and executive management
- Consistent track record of successfully building processes and procedures that can scale during high-growth periods
Responsibilities
- Build trusted relationships with key cross-functional business partners and stakeholders at the highest levels of the organization
- Develop the proper cadence and level of information sharing to successfully analyze, forecast and report on business unit(s) performance
- Act as a strategic partner, providing financial expertise and guidance on how to evaluate multiple investment opportunities to drive sustained revenue growth
- Support in establishing KPIβs and related monitoring processes, including driving the development of data and reporting infrastructures to effectively analyze, monitor and report on key business drivers. Recommend actions to improve performance based on analysis
- Own and manage all aspects of financial modeling for the business unit(s), including scenario modeling, risk/opportunity assessment, and optimizing resource allocation. Perform strategic and financial analysis to support, using a data-driven approach, all major decisions for the business unit(s)
- Support the delivery of key company-wide financial and strategic planning processes (e.g., quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting, long-range planning). You will also support the preparation of Board materials and other key deliverables
- Own and manage the monthly / quarterly / annual in-depth analysis, providing visibility to management of variances from expectations with a focus on understanding key drivers and continuously improving accuracy. Author clear narratives that describe business performance and strategy
- Operate at multiple altitudes - have an in-depth knowledge of the subject matter, models, and key drivers and at the same time be able to tell the big picture story of the business unit(s) financial results
- Proactively identify and drive improvements to current processes, reports and models by leveraging financial data, non-financial data, external benchmarks, automation and/or prior industry experiences
- Partner with the Data team, ensuring consistency and reliability of key data. Design and validate new metrics / models / dashboards to drive key insights on the business
- Manage a lean, high-performing team with an inclusive, direct, and growth-mindset leadership approach, promoting knowledge sharing and providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to foster a high-performance environment in support of Hootsuiteβs mission (#StepUp, #OneTeam)

- Canada Pay Range For This Role: $140,700 β $197,100 CAD
- US Pay Range For This Role: $153,800 β $215,400 USD
