Remote Head of Platform

Summary

Join our Platform Engineering team at Gorgias as we empower product engineering teams with reliable core APIs, documentation, developer experience, managed services, templates, and best practices. As a senior software engineer, you will work on large SaaS code bases, high-traffic applications, streaming data pipelines, and advanced analytics workloads.

Requirements

• Years of software engineering experience: 15+
• Experience as Director: 2y minimum
• Experience as Senior Software engineer: 7y minimum, ideally 10y+
• Technologies: Python, Java (Flink), Typescript, Postgres, Kafka

Responsibilities

• Work with large SaaS code bases that span across multiple services
• High-traffic applications with a lot of data
• Streaming data pipelines: Kafka & Flink
• Advanced analytics workloads on top of Clickhouse and Cube
• Software architecture design and review experience with close collaboration of Staff/principal engineers
