Summary

Join MicroTransponder, inc. as a highly motivated Intake Specialist to help bring the Vivistim Paired VNS Therapy to stroke survivors. The role involves coordinating medical record documentation, working with providers nationwide, and facilitating patient access to the therapy.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of pre-service clearance procedures and processes
• Careful attention to detail and regular updates
• Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Develop awareness and understanding of the coverage policy landscape for vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) and rehabilitation therapies to treat upper limb deficit in patients with chronic stroke symptoms
• Obtain, document and store appropriate patient medical records from multiple offices and sources
• Clearly document all communications and contacts with provider’s office, patient, sales team and MicroTransponder personnel in databases
• Demonstrate and apply knowledge of medical terminology
• High proficiency in medical office operations including HIPAA regulations
• Demonstrate and apply knowledge of medical terminology, claims processing workflows and insurance payment information
