Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or related area
  • Must be licensed to independently practice in Texas and/or Florida (LCSW, LPC,LMHC, LMFT), openness to cross-state licensure
  • 5 years of experience post independent licensure in a behavioral health setting
  • 3 years of experience in management/supervision of mental health providers (experience in remote/start-ups environments beneficial but not a necessary qualification)
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and their caregivers inclusive of external systems involved in a minor’s care
  • Experience with chart auditing and training to improvement-oriented outcomes
  • Certification/Training in evidence-based modalities including but not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy
  • Experience working with high-risk behavioral health populations including but not limited to suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation, severe persistent mental illness (SPMI), children in the foster care system
  • Strong preference and comfortability conducting triage assessments and crisis interventions
  • Diligent regarding documentation standards and accustomed to using electronic medical records
  • Experience working with a diverse population or demographics
  • Telehealth experience
  • Strong communication, documentation, and diagnostic skills
  • Familiarity with technology, Microsoft suites, and documenting in electronic health records

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of behavioral health clinicians inclusive of fully licensed mental health therapists, provisionally licensed clinicians, and care team assistants
  • Uphold team members to Imagine specific policies, clinical programming requirements, and utilization targets
  • Provide 1:1 supervision to team members to review both administrative and clinical topics
  • Organize and lead departmental team meetings inclusive of attendance, agenda, and meeting minutes
  • Oversee the routine operation of the clinical team responsible for behavioral health related calls, inquiries, referrals and assessments to assure the efficient and expedient delivery of services based on patient need
  • Oversee clinical quality metrics and programmatic outcomes through chart audits, reporting, and supervision
  • Manage crisis escalations from team members and provide guidance on next steps
  • Evaluate care team performance quarterly and hold members accountable for KPIs and SLAs
  • Works collaboratively with all other leadership roles to respond to feedback, improve patient experience, and support the development of new programs and services
  • Acts as the liaison for behavioral health services to all stakeholders taking a lead role in process and performance improvement and the delivery of high-quality services
  • Treat children with severe mental illness and mood disorders including but not limited to major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, homicidal ideation, suicidal ideation, and trauma
  • Conduct crisis assessment utilizing validated screening tools such as the Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale
  • Facilitate intervention to address needs of a patient experiencing a psychiatric emergency including active safety planning with the child and parent
  • Assess and safety plan critically for the least restrictive environment necessary to ensure safety
  • Document visits with critical detail in our electronic medical record to ensure continuity of care
  • Experience escalating patients to emergency resources when necessary
