Summary

Join Altarum's Division of Population Health as a Behavioral Health Project Manager! This Michigan-based role (hybrid or remote depending on location) involves leading cross-functional teams on projects for the State of Michigan, focusing on substance use disorders and peer recovery support services. You will manage project budgets, staff, and client relationships, while developing training materials and providing technical assistance. The ideal candidate possesses a Master's degree, extensive experience in behavioral health, and strong project management skills. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, public health, human development, child psychology, family studies or related field
  • Minimum ten (10) years’ work experience, including specific experience in substance use disorders
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant Project Management experience within the behavioral health field
  • Experience in a behavioral health care system, community behavioral health center, or community public health setting, or similar context (experience in Michigan preferred)
  • Experience working with mid-level and senior clinical and/or administrative leaders in diverse settings
  • Ability to travel approximately up to 20% time in the State of Michigan (depending on your location)
  • Ability to provide team leadership, work as an effective team member, as well as work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, and manage training and technical assistance in the implementation of SUD and PRSS for adults, youth, and families struggling with the impact of SUD
  • Plan and manage projects with some guidance from Project Directors
  • Manage project budgets in Altarum project management system and make decisions on adjustments and improvements in order to effectively execute the project
  • Manage staff time and tasks on projects
  • Foster relationships with clients, including building strong communication with clients and serving as a logistical contact
  • Work closely with Project Directors to lead, design, and deliver training and technical assistance on a variety of content areas associated with best practices in SUD treatment, PRSS for both adults and youth, and BH workforce issues
  • Develop technical assistance packages, reports, memos, tools, toolkits, online learning courses, and webinars
  • Work collaboratively with other Altarum staff on projects, and collaboratively with other external TA providers
  • Work directly with clients to ensure that projects are executed successfully and with high-quality
  • Provide subject matter expertise and project/client management capabilities as needed
  • Contribute to federal, state, and philanthropic proposal efforts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with peer support/peer recovery (lived experience or ally a plus)
  • Experience managing, coordinating, or contributing to large-scale proposal efforts desired
