Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Psychology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8+ years of project management experience, with 5+ years in the behavioral health sector
  • Proven experience managing projects with field-type or engagement management aspects
  • PMP certification is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, Trello) and advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of complex projects within the behavioral health sector
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including behavioral health providers, community organizations, and clients to ensure project objectives are met
  • Manage cross-functional teams, providing direction, coaching, and support to ensure successful project delivery and fostering a collaborative team environment
  • Identify potential risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address challenges to maintain project timelines and quality
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including status reports, project plans, timelines, and other required project deliverables
  • Continuously analyze project processes and identify opportunities for improvement to enhance project outcomes and efficiency
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring their needs are understood and met

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with health IT implementations or electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, or other healthcare regulations related to behavioral health
  • Experience working in multi-state environments and adapting projects to comply with state-specific regulations
  • Familiarity with data privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA) and their application in project management
