Remote Network Engineer

Summary

Join our team as a Network Engineer and take on the challenge of designing, implementing, and troubleshooting computer and systems/networks for our clients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of IT needs for clients, working with internal help desk to resolve customer issues, and developing, installing, and maintaining network infrastructure deployments.

Requirements

• Associates degree in Information Technology – network or systems administration is preferred
• Minimum 4 years of network administration experience with strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
• Ability to be a self-starter with little supervision
• Hands on experience and strong knowledge with VMware, business class firewalls and switching
• Strong knowledge in Server 2012/2016/2019, Exchange 2013/2016/2019, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, network design and implementation
• Experience in the managed service provider space is a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of IT needs for clients performed by remote support or onsite visits
• Work with internal help desk to resolve customer issues after escalation from ticket submission
• Develop, install, and maintain small to large network infrastructure deployments
• Protect data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures based upon company standards and solutions
• Diligent and effective communication with clients, sales, and team members
• Attentive customer service, focused on client satisfaction
• Recommend, plan, and implement new technologies that move a client’s business forward
• Attend and engage in team meetings
• Meet professional development requirements
• Maintain weekly time and expense records inside of the PSA platform for work/travel performed as per policy
• Occasional on-call work is required based on team rotation
