Summary
Join Midi Health as a Patient Service Representative and act as a liaison between patients, the practice, and the healthcare system. Ensure patients receive necessary care, support new patient registration, assist with navigating the healthcare system, and resolve billing issues and complaints. You will be the first point of contact for patients, verifying information, scheduling appointments, and updating the Electronic Health Record (EHR). This role requires facilitating intake procedures, collecting payments, and adhering to all organizational and regulatory guidelines. You will work independently and as part of a team, resolving problems and ensuring patient privacy. Build collaborative relationships with peers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.
Requirements
- 2+ years providing an excellent customer service experience - remote experience a huge plus!
- 2 years of Google Workplace experience
- Strong and professional verbal and written communication skills
- Must have strong, reliable internet and quiet, distraction-free workplace
Responsibilities
- Serves as the first point of contact for patients
- Assists patients with: verifying information, scheduling appointments, and updating Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Facilitates intake procedures such as completion of healthcare and insurance forms and collecting payments for services
- Gains confidence from the patient through competent job performance and effective communication
- Adheres to all organizational, local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering the optimal patient experience
- Work independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with conflicting priorities
- Identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options
- Ensure the privacy of each patientβs Protected Health Information (PHI)
- Build collaborative relationships with peers and other staff members to achieve departmental and corporate objectives
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of Zendesk experience
- 2 years of Athenahealth EMR experience
