Requirements

• An Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
• Business experience in a healthcare and/or insurance setting is preferred
• Present exceptional communication skills with a clear understanding of company business lines. The ability to apply critical thinking, manage time efficiently and meet specific deadlines. Computer literacy and typing skills are essential
• Working knowledge of physician networks, recruitment, medical specialties, and terminology
• Knowledge of relevant state and federal compliance guidelines

Responsibilities

• Assign reviewers in accordance with Dane Street’s regulatory state guide
• Physician Schedulers must comply with each client's special handling, instructions, wants and needs
• Understanding of referral types required. Know what each referral type means, ex. initial review, appeals, reconsiderations
• Assign reviewers of the appropriate specialty and state license to match per state regulations
• Assign all cases to the reviewing physician selected on the referral
• Ensure cases are returned by the reviewer in a timely manner in order to meet case deadlines
• Send reminder emails to the Reviewers on their assigned cases and the due dates
• Promptly communicate any changes, delays or other necessary information to clients
