Requirements

  • Approximately 4 years of practical, in-house product, UX/UI design experience

  • Ability to take initiative and resolve UX issues with moderate to high ambiguity
  • Proficiency in collecting and using quantitative and qualitative data for design decisions
  • Experience in systems thinking and creating compositions
  • Improving reliability in prototyping skills and understanding of the current technology stack
  • Strong communication and visualization skills
  • Fluency with product, design, and prototyping tools such as Figma, Google Suite, JIRA
  • English language fluency in written and spoken communication

  • Design flows and interfaces that are simple, elegant, and user-friendly
  • Apply best practices while also pushing the boundaries to find novel and creative approaches to design challenges
  • Utilize systems thinking principles to create cohesive compositions and leverage the current design system to ensure consistency across platforms
  • Collect and leverage both quantitative and qualitative data to inform your design choices
  • Build relationships and advocate for the user when collaborating with cross-functional teams in product, engineering, and marketing

We are looking for a Product Designer II who will collaborate and deliver UX experiences across the Hospitality product team that businesses will find useful and engaging.

The ideal candidate is an experienced UX Designer who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with complex, interconnected problems. You’re able to set UX goals, direction and strategy that empowers your team with clarity and purpose. You build trust-based relationships across disciplines and leverage diverse perspectives to deeply understand and improve how your team ships impactful work.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Deliver useful and delightful end-to-end digital product experiences. Transforming complex requirements into user-friendly designs that engage users.
  • Leverage your UX expertise, understanding of design systems and UI design to transform complex requirements into designs that engage our users.
  • Design flows and interfaces that are simple, elegant, and user-friendly. Apply best practices while also pushing the boundaries to find novel and creative approaches to design challenges.
  • Utilize systems thinking principles to create cohesive compositions and leverage the current design system to ensure consistency across platforms.
  • Collect and leverage both quantitative and qualitative data to inform your design choices. Continuously gathering new insights, ensuring designs are grounded in solid evidence and user feedback.
  • Build relationships and advocate for the user when collaborating with cross-functional teams in product, engineering, and marketing.
  • Be a positive role model and culture carrier within the studio as well as an advocate for design within the Lightspeed organization.

What you bring:

  • Approximately 4 years of practical, in-house product, UX/UI design experience.
