Summary

The job is for a part-time remote Scribe position at Ava Echo, focusing on correcting captions for Deaf & Hard of Hearing (DHH) users with Deaf Accents. Requirements

• Must have experience with deaf accents and DHH community members to apply
• Should be a CODA (strongly preferred) or have experience with spoken deaf accents
• Preferably have experience with ASL or various deaf dialects
• Preferably have experience in the helping professions with proximity to DHH community
• Type quickly and accurately on your keyboard
• Savvy with technology and familiar using computers
• Worked remotely before (6+ months), have a good Wifi connection, and a quiet workspace
• Used to proactive and clear communication with people
• Reliable person: if you commit to a time to Scribe, a deaf/hard-of-hearing Ava user counts on you!

Responsibilities

Scribes work remotely, alongside AI-generated text, to correct captions for Deaf & Hard of Hearing (DHH) users in real-time

Preferred Qualifications

Have a strong, demonstrated capacity to comprehend various spoken accents in English
