Responsibilities

  • Assist with processing payroll using Empeon Payroll System
  • Enter new employees into the payroll system
  • Review and audit time and attendance records and imports into payroll system
  • Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information and interacting with managers and work force management team
  • Process and monitor garnishment orders
  • Transmits information from timekeeping software to payroll software and checks for accuracy of information
  • Updates payroll records in system such as changes in exemptions, terminations, department transfers, rate changes, and address changes
  • Provides excellent customers service to our employees by answering pay-related questions
  • Assists with multi-state registrations, -state withholding, paid family leave, and local taxes
  • Import payroll deductions to retirement administrators for 401(k) plans

Join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of others! We are looking for a Payroll Specialist for our Accounting team.

This is a role is remote but may require up to 10% travel to our main office in Lake Success, NY.

Position Overview:

The Payroll Specialist will assistthe payroll team with running payroll for a multi-state/multi-entities, audit time and attendance data, resolve payroll discrepancies, process garnishments, update payroll employment changes and assist with taxissues and coordinate payroll deductions for retirement plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with processing payroll using Empeon Payroll System and using data fromvarious timekeeping systems (Verint and PurelyHR) for bi-weekly payroll cycles for 600+ employees and contractors supporting multi-state/multi-entities (including exempt, non-exempt)
  • Enter new employees into the payroll system
  • Review and audit time and attendance records and imports into payroll system
  • Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information and interacting with managers and work force management team
  • Process and monitor garnishment orders
  • Transmits information from timekeeping software to payroll software and checks for accuracy of information

  • Payroll software integration/implementation experience

At FreedomCare, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides our employees with the opportunity to professionally grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $20.00 and $28.00 an hour at the commencement of your first year of employment. Compensation decisions are dependent upon a variety of factors which may include, but are not limited to: skill set, years of relevant experience, education, location, and licensure/certifications.

Salary Range

$82,500β€”$92,500 USD
