Summary
Join Octave's growing data team as a Senior Data Analyst and help build the foundation of analytics and data science, focusing on growth and marketing. You will establish KPIs, identify growth opportunities, and create engaging data visualizations. This role involves developing efficient workflows, optimizing processes, and translating business operations into scalable data and reporting. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate findings to various stakeholders. Octave is a full-stack behavioral health company using technology to increase access to mental healthcare. The position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders, to identify key business problems and develop analytic solutions that drive growth and innovation
- Communicate sophisticated analyses and results to a wide array of business partners with varying levels of technical expertise
- Create and maintain operational dashboards in Tableau to understand company performance over time and enable partners with self-serve tools
- Develop efficient and scalable end to end workflows and identify opportunities to improve existing processes
- Translate business operations and processes into scalable data and reporting
Preferred Qualifications
- Have 4+ years working in analytics/data science preferably with experience at a startup
- Have 4+ years hands on technical analysis work with SQL experience performing complex data transformations. Experience manipulating large data sets and uncovering insights utilizing disparate data sources and tools
- Have a deep understanding of marketing analytics, including multi-touch attribution models (e.g., first-touch, last-touch, time-decay), media mix modeling, and ROI measurement across channels
- Have proven experience using tools like Mixpanel, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), and Tableau to track and analyze marketing performance
- Have experience with marketing funnel analysis, including diagnosing drop-offs, conversion bottlenecks, and optimization strategies to improve efficiency
- Have a track record of improving marketing KPIs, such as CAC, LTV, ROAS, and overall funnel conversion rates through data-driven insights
- Possess strong analytical skills with the ability to apply business strategy to data analysis and recommendations
- Be expert in data visualization (Tableau/Looker/etc)
- Have strong communication skills. Ability to tell story with data and explain the nuance to stakeholders
- Have the ability to think strategically (interfacing with senior leaders), while also enjoying being hands-on with the data
- Have a knack for asking the right questions, then answering them with sound data and analysis
- Have experience with dbt/git/aws
