Requirements

  • 5+ years of financial analysis experience
  • At least 2 years supporting GTM, Sales, or Marketing functions, ideally in a SaaS or FinTech environment
  • Strong understanding of SaaS metrics (e.g., ARR, MRR, CAC, LTV)
  • Proven experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and process improvement
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial data for decision-making
  • Ability to build collaborative partnerships across teams and establish consensus on key financial strategies
  • Proficiency in financial modeling tools such as Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and Sage Intacct; experience with BI tools and data visualization is a plus
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field

Responsibilities

  • Lead forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis for Sales, Marketing, and Delivery departments
  • Build and maintain gross margin models by revenue stream and customer
  • Track and report on KPIs such as ARR, CAC, LTV, churn rates, renewal rates, and sales efficiency metrics
  • Refine sales pipeline analysis processes, quota attainment metrics, and customer acquisition efficiency
  • Benchmark SaaS and GTM metrics to identify performance-enhancement areas
  • Collaborate with GTM leadership to develop financial models that evaluate pricing, promotions, and market-entry strategies
  • Analyze market data and competitive landscapes to identify risks and opportunities that impact GTM initiatives
  • Develop standardized financial reporting for Sales, Marketing, and Delivery functions to support decision-making
  • Identify opportunities to automate financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes to reduce manual effort and increase accuracy
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job description

The Senior Financial Analyst, GTM/Sales Finance at Lumin Digital is responsible for leading financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support the firm’s go-to-market (GTM) strategy, sales, and marketing functions. The role provides key insights into financial health by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and developing models to optimize pricing, marketing, and staffing decisions. The Analyst collaborates with the CFO, Director of FP&A, and GTM leadership to drive financial efficiency and support decision-making for the company’s growth.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities, Experience:

Lead forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis for Sales, Marketing, and Delivery departments, ensuring alignment with company-wide goals.

Build and maintain gross margin models by revenue stream and customer.

Track and report on KPIs such as ARR, CAC, LTV, churn rates, renewal rates, and sales efficiency metrics.

Refine sales pipeline analysis processes, quota attainment metrics, and customer acquisition efficiency.

Benchmark SaaS and GTM metrics to identify performance-enhancement areas.

Collaborate with GTM leadership to develop financial models that evaluate pricing, promotions, and market-entry strategies.

Growth Opportunities:

30 Days: Gain a thorough understanding of Lumin Digital’s GTM strategy, key financial models, and current reporting processes. Begin collaborating with GTM leadership on financial planning.

90 Days: Take part in financial reporting and analysis for the GTM and Sales functions, providing data-driven insights that influence strategy and decision-making.

1 Year: Drive process improvements in financial planning, automation of reporting, and collaboration on pricing models that directly impact revenue growth and profitability.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

5+ years of financial analysis experience, with at least 2 years supporting GTM, Sales, or Marketing functions, ideally in a SaaS or FinTech environment.

Strong understanding of SaaS metrics (e.g., ARR, MRR, CAC, LTV).

Proven experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and process improvement.
