Senior Financial Analyst

Summary

Join Vanta's Strategic Finance team as a Senior Financial Analyst, EPD, and act as a financial liaison between the Strategic Finance team and EPD functions. You will be instrumental in budgeting, forecasting, providing strategic guidance, and completing various projects related to investments Vanta makes across EPD activities. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, exhibiting financial expertise, delivering strategic insights, thinking critically, and delivering results. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of corporate finance or investment banking experience, advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite, and a strong analytical mindset. Requirements

• Experience: 4+ years of corporate finance, investment banking or comparable experience with fast-paced start-up (ideally SaaS) in Strategic Finance or FP&A
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs/Sheets/Slides. Bonus for experience in SQL and NetSuite
• Analytical Mindset: Strong capability to tackle projects, extract key insights, and translate them into actionable strategies that drive business impact
• Teamwork: Ability to work effectively and establish relationships with business partners. Bonus for experience partnering with EPD functions
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying financial insights in a comprehensible and engaging manner
• Accountability: Be highly entrepreneurial and comfortable owning your work in a fast-paced environment
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or other analytical discipline

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally: Act as a trusted Finance partner for EPD teams and their leaders. Enable key stakeholders on insights produced and provide recommendations to improve business outcomes
• Exhibit financial expertise: Help drive the budget, operating model, and long-term financial plan for Vanta EPD initiatives
• Deliver strategic insights: Lead financial efforts and provide insights on various projects such as EPD team resourcing and forecasting, return on investment for engineering project spend, new product initiatives, and other spend analysis projects
• Think critically: Identify topics that merit further investigation and utilize data and frameworks to provide new perspective
• Deliver results: Prepare recommendations on incremental investment opportunities by weighing financial and strategic trade-offs
