Requirements

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to work independently, think objectively, and interpret meaningful and insightful narratives from both quantitative as well as qualitative data
  • Financial and Business Acumen: Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate as well as distill data into actionable information to drive results
  • Problem Solving & Decision Quality: Ability to apply rigorous logic and sound methods to solve multi-faceted problems with effective solutions
  • Relationship Building: Able to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of business partners, inclusive of senior members of management with ability to influence at all levels
  • Presentation Skills: Effective in a variety of presentation settings including one-on-one, small, and large groups
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field. Advanced degrees (Masters or PhD) are a plus
  • 3+ years experience in Data Analytics
  • 3+ years of proficiency in data manipulation, i.e., SQL and Python
  • 3+ years of experience building well-designed dashboards using Tableau, PowerBI, or similar software. High proficiency with FP&A system, especially Pigment Planning preferred
  • 2+ years of investment banking, management consulting or experience within the finance team of a technology company preferred
  • Excellent financial modeling and analysis skills
  • Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into simple takeaways and are not hesitant to voice your point of view
  • Advanced Excel and strong PowerPoint skills are required

Responsibilities

  • Possess the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret large volumes of data, enabling evidence-based decision-making
  • Improve business results through creating best-in-class metrics, analysis, visualizations, and data-driven storytelling
  • Collaborate with the Product team to enhance revenue, retention, and engagement metrics. This includes conducting A/B testing, performing insights analysis, and developing dashboards
  • Monitor and maintain the integrity of a wide range of tools and models used to streamline workflows and personalize the player experience, in collaboration with other data analysts and scientists in the org
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity throughout the pipeline, partner with data engineering to implement validation and error-handling procedures. Automate data extraction to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and business leaders, to gather requirements, prioritize projects, and deliver actionable insights
