Senior Financial Analyst

Requirements

• Be a Microsoft Excel expert
• Be incredibly fast at building, updating and troubleshooting financial models
• Understand North American accounting principles
• Be self motivated
• Be able to use judgement and creativity to solve problems
• Be happy to work in a fast-paced environment
• Take ownership of your work and mistakes
• Be comfortable not knowing everything. Be able to use your professional skills to make inferences to move projects along
• Have a Bachelors Degree
• Have a professional designation or Masters Degree (CPA, CA, MFin, MSc)
• Have 5+ years experience as a financial analyst

Responsibilities

• Assist a portfolio of clients around the world with financial modeling, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, scenario planning, and variance analysis
• Help with market research and trend analysis to give our clients ideas on how to improve their operations, financial structure and operating results
• Build 3-statement financial models from the ground up, then run and adjust them every month according to client’s actual results
• Build 3-statement, dynamic financial models
• Every month (minimum) adjust the models and communicate potential issues to clients, CFOs, etc
• Collect data on scenarios to analyze in the model
• Perform market research to make the models even more realistic
• Monthly financial reporting package with analysis and commentary
• Creating and updating KPI dashboards
• Creating and updating 3-statement financial forecasts
• Cash flow monitoring and forecasting
• Updating Board and Investor reporting decks
