Remote Senior Manager, Data Science & Analytics

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Proven experience in managing and deploying business intelligence tools like Tableau, Salesforce Analytics, or similar platforms
• Strong understanding of AI/ML models and their applications in business, particularly in sales, marketing, and customer success
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with senior leadership to drive data-driven decision-making
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, etc.) or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of data scientists and business analysts, driving the development of AI and machine learning models to enhance sales and marketing strategies
• Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of business intelligence tools, such as Tableau and Salesforce applications, for data-driven insights and decision-making
• Develop and implement AI solutions such as propensity-to-buy models, recommendation engines, and GPT-based tools to transform sales processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Revenue Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to identify and solve key business challenges using data science and analytics
• Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices
• Hire, develop and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high performing team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GPT, GenAI models, or other natural language processing tools
• Familiarity with data engineering and the architecture required for scaling AI/ML solutions
• Experience working in SaaS or other high-growth tech environments
