Remote Senior Manager, Decision Science

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, computer science, statistics, or economics (or equivalent experience)
• 8+ years of applied experience in the areas of data/decision science, analytics, modeling data engineering, and/or other technical field and 4+ years of people management experience
• Experience designing experiments, testing, and utilizing statistical principles to inform business decisions
• Applied experience with causal inference and probabilistic models to support A/B testing
• Advanced SQL knowledge
• Proficient experience with statistical programming in R or Python

Responsibilities

• Effectively lead team to deliver results through data science, analytics, modeling, and experimentation
• Regularly lead weekly and monthly meetings
• Effectively communicate findings and complex topics to all levels of management
• Influence your stakeholders and executives to make better product decisions
• Be willing to tell uncomfortable truths. Back your suggestions by demonstrating strong product and business sense
• Build clear and compelling data visualizations so that your stakeholders can analyze product health and monitor marketplace performance
• Work in a fast-paced and result-driven environment. Meet deadlines and regularly deliver accurate results under quick turnaround times
• Mentor and train team members to deliver to expectations
• Provoke new and deep thinking in your team. Level up their understanding of our product data
