Summary
Join Stitch Fix's Experimentation team as an experienced people manager and experimentation expert, leading a team of data scientists and platform engineers. Requirements
- Have 8+ years of experience in data science, with a focus on experimentation and causal inference
- Have 3-5 years of experience leading a team, with a focus on engineering or experimentation
- Be proficient in Python and SQL
- Have a strong understanding of experimental design, A/B testing, and statistical analysis techniques
- Have platform engineering experience preferably experimentation platform
- Have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Possess knowledge of machine learning techniques and their applications in experimentation
- Have exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to a diverse audience
- Have experience working autonomously and taking ownership of projects
- Have rigorous focus on simple solutions that yield business impact
- Possess strong experience building out scalable, distributed, and production systems
- Have the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical business partners alike, and who are interested in building strong cross-functional relationships
- Have a desire to question the status quo and promote innovative solutions to challenging problems
Responsibilities
- Shape the central experimentation platform at Stitch Fix
- Develop roadmaps for and own highly visible, high-traffic platforms
- Work on all aspects of systems, from services to backend data stores to analytics and logging
- Be responsible for directing the teamβs investment in impactful directions
- Build a culture of technical collaboration and scalable, resilient systems
- Work with bright and kind colleagues who are passionate about their craft
Preferred Qualifications
- Have a degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related discipline
- Have experience working in the e-commerce or retail industry
- Have knowledge of Golang and full stack development experience
- Be familiar with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark
