Responsibilities

  • Define and lead Go-To-Market strategy to acquire and develop new strategic clients across the relevant vertical/region
  • Lead in developing, managing and growing an advertising book of business predominantly made up of hotel / travel / tourism clients
  • Independently create and deliver persuasive presentations that educate the market and demonstrate Sojern’s value proposition
  • Mentor, coach, and train other sellers and be able to teach new sales techniques
  • May also manage a team of sellers
  • Effectively collaborate cross-functionally with vertical sales, account management and product teams to develop relevant advertising programs for key clients, targets and their agencies
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert on their region/vertical and able to internally present on metrics and sales strategy for their region/vertical when requested
  • Independently able to maintain and grow a large book of business and have deep sales strategy conversations with any of Sojern’s clients
  • Meet and exceed aggressive and growing sales targets on a quarterly basis
  • Maintain SalesForce and keep client activity organized

Job description

Position summary:

The Senior Sales Director role drives business to business sales and is responsible for developing, growing, and managing a digital advertising business within their region or vertical. Depending on Sojern’s presence within the assigned region or vertical, the Senior Sales Director will define and lead the go-to-market strategy and/or support retention of Sojern’s existing client base while also developing and acquiring new clients across the region. Clients may include major global hotel groups, airlines, tourism boards, and brand advertisers.

What you will do:

  • Define and lead Go-To-Market strategy to acquire and develop new strategic clients across the relevant vertical/region

What you bring to the table:

  • 7 years overall sales experience in digitable and programmatic advertising and/or travel vertical sales
  • Proficiency in standard business and sales software, including Salesforce, Gsuite, and Office products
  • Ability to build sales plans and RFP responses
  • A fundamental understanding of the programmatic ecosystem
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Travel Required - 30-50%
  • The role is focused on LATAM Region and Spanish speaking is a requirement
