As a high-performing distributed system engineer, you will take ownership of decisions, provide support and mentorship to teammates, and drive critical fleet-level initiatives.

Requirements

• +10 years of experience in backend development
• Proven working experience with Java 8 or above
• Excellent verbal and written language communication skills (English language proficiency required)
• Proven ability to collaborate in an agile environment
• A track record of influencing both stakeholders and team members

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of decisions within your domain, helping teammates make better decisions
• Provide support and mentorship to your teammates so that they’re able to write and ship code for our most important services
• Drive, organize, implement and deliver critical fleet level initiatives
• Drive planning and alignment efforts, supporting teams in achieving their goals and delivery high quality, high performance, working software
• Define and own goals related to the technical roadmap, ensuring high-quality software/systems
• Identify inefficiencies and drive improvements within your domain
• Write complex, high-quality processes and procedures
• Drive testing and code quality standards, balancing business needs with technical requirements
