Remote Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Join BuzzFeed's RevTech team as a Software Engineer to develop, optimize, and maintain critical services and API's that power the company's Advertising and Commerce businesses. You'll work with engineering, product, design, and data colleagues globally across time zones.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of experience using and building web APIs
• Skilled and empathetic engineer who enjoys contributing to and leading technical projects and working with engineers at all levels
• Adapt quickly to change and love to ship and iterate, building on insights and data
• Previous experience with Python or Go
• Comfortable working with large data sets

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain critical services and API’s that power BuzzFeed’s Advertising and Commerce businesses
• Use a variety of languages and both internal and third party platforms
• Partner closely with Product Managers, Product Analysts, and Designers to understand and shape work at all different stages of a project’s lifecycle
• Build stable, resilient, and high performance software
