Requirements

  • Awareness of the competitive Saas/CWM landscape and ability to differentiate Smartsheet solutions/capabilities
  • Background in building credibility with customers to understand their initiatives
  • Strong competence participating in a complex, solution-based enterprise sales process
  • Demonstrated ability to organize/manage cross functional initiatives
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation) with the ability to explain technical subjects to non-technical end user personnel in large enterprises
  • Willing to travel periodically based on customer and business need
  • Certified in Smartsheet (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert for Smartsheet’s PPM and RM products/solutions, provide advice and guidance on Smartsheet solution offerings to prospective and current customers
  • Provide competitive differentiation and thought leadership in the positioning of Smartsheet in customer conversations
  • Actively coordinate and lead cross functional initiatives that improves the positioning, enablement, and delivery of PPM and RM solutions to our customers and field teams
  • Partner with Sales and SEs to conduct discovery sessions that uncover business processes and challenges to inform the sales and solution delivery strategy, leveraging credibility to effectively position Smartsheet solutions
  • Influence the design, development, and demonstration of creative solutions based on customer requirements and PPM + RM best practices using Smartsheet
  • Design, develop, and deliver PPM + RM related enablement content to GTM Field teams
  • Partner with Product Management to inform scalable product solutions as the customer advocate on product roadmap discussions
  • Partner with Marketing to inform messaging and campaigns that provide the right information to professionals seeking more information about our PPM + RM solutions
  • Support scoping efforts for complex PPM solutions to ensure outcomes are aligned for the customer and our implementation teams
  • Periodically travel to customer sites to provide subject matter expertise and engage with customers - showcasing relevant Smartsheet solutions
  • Prioritize engagement and support initiatives to deliver on enterprise performance targets
  • Participate in planning and onsite activities for the annual SMAR Engage conference
  • Actively pursue information, learning and development in order to build and maintain your subject matter expertise in related categories of PPM and Resource Management
  • Grow and maintain expert knowledge for Smartsheet products, services, and competitors
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Smartsheet is looking for a Sr. Solutions Specialist who has a passion for solving complex challenges. In this role, you will partner directly with account teams (Sales, SE, COJ, PS, CS) to provide business and technical subject matter expertise throughout the sales process, adding credibility to deal cycles, providing art-of-possible demonstrations, and serving as a trusted advisor to prospects and clients throughout their evaluations. You will be a member of the Solutions Engineering organization that is on a mission to grow revenue and to empower anyone to drive meaningful change — for themselves, their businesses, and the world.

This role will have a focus on our PPM (Project & Portfolio Management) use cases and Resource Management features. Successful candidates will have high technical aptitude and practical experience managing complex portfolios of projects and resources via SaaS platforms.

You Will:

  • Act as a subject matter expert for Smartsheet’s PPM and RM products/solutions, provide advice and guidance on Smartsheet solution offerings to prospective and current customers

Smartsheet provides a competitive base salary range for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location. In addition, this role will be eligible for a market competitive incentive opportunity and some roles may be eligible for a RSU stock grant upon accepted offer.

US Pay Range

$130,000—$175,000 USD
