Summary
Join ICAST, a nonprofit dedicated to green upgrades for affordable housing, as a Solar Construction Project Manager. You will manage all aspects of solar projects, ensuring timely and budget-conscious completion with high customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include coordinating with contractors, maintaining schedules and budgets, communicating with clients, and providing status reports. The role requires 3 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager or Superintendent with a Solar EPC/Installation firm. Travel is expected at 50%. This is an intermediate-level position reporting to the National Construction Manager.
Requirements
- 3 yearsβ experience as a Construction Project Manager or Superintendent w/ a Solar EPC/Installation firm working on commercial or multifamily projects
- Ability to manage and bring to successful completion multiple projects simultaneously
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with contractors and internal support staff to efficiently complete Solar installation projects β both rooftop and larger ground mount
- Develop and maintain on-time schedule, budget, and quality requirements, for all projects
- Maintain regular communications with clients and contractors to address concerns and provide status updates
- Travel to jobsites to ensure project starts, progresses, and is completed per contractual obligations
- Provide direct assistance to internal staff for coordination, planning, scheduling, subcontracting, and scope clarifications
- Provide regular status reports to ICAST Management
- Complete ICAST onboarding process within 1 week of start date and training program within 30 days of start
- Assume the Solar Project Manager role for existing and new projects within 30 days of start date
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep understanding of PV & energy storage system design, site selection, construction, and commissioning processes
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, etc.)
- Prior experience with project management software, ideally smart sheet
- Possess a general understanding of solar and battery incentive programs
