Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with business development, channel, Clean Energy Deployment (CED) business units, and key internal stakeholders to ensure all projects are ready for handoff to the Deployment (Construction) teams by tracking at-risk items that remain in place at the time of mobilization
  • Build out project schedules to set milestones Pre-NTP and work with the scheduling team to update from project origination to handover to the Deployment Team
  • Provides regional ownership of the pre-deployment process and assists the teams to create a strong project framework so as to provide the best possible project set up for Deployment and project success
  • Review developer construction related documents for completeness and compliance with utility interconnect agreements, power purchase agreements, land lease agreements, environmental permits, building permits and ensure good industry practice
  • Coordinate with development team to understand the geotechnical, civil, electrical, and major equipment supplier specifications for project estimates and RFP’s
  • Manage preliminary engineering to support preconstruction development and contractor section phase
  • Manage the turnover process from preconstruction to the construction execution team

What we’re looking for:

Nexamp is looking to hire a Pre-Construction Manager. In this role, you will be tasked with supporting the Director of Pre-Deployment (Construction) with establishing the strategic objectives, operational initiatives, and project level tasks for all organization pre-deployment activities. This candidate will support the unit efforts to facilitate a smooth transition of projects from preconstruction to construction phase.

We are seeking experienced candidates with a background in scheduling, contract, and project management with a focus on developing and building solar PV plants. You will play a critical in guiding the project management teams through the project lifecycle and overseeing multiple projects at any given time.

We are accepting remote/hybrid candidates, ideally near our hub offices in Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, and Washington, DC. You will report to the Director, Pre-Construction.

What you’ll do:

What you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years of renewable energy project management or leadership in the construction field with working knowledge of civil construction, electrical construction, and utility construction.
  • 5+ years of scheduling experience.
  • Experience in Pre-Construction or early or early-stage Construction.
  • Ability to simultaneously prioritize and resolve multiple issues on multiple projects under demanding schedule constraints.
  • Proficient in typical software applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent
  • Ability to travel as needed (up to 10%)
