Requirements

  • Strong experience with analytics engineering tooling including SQL, dbt, data warehouses (e.g. Snowflake) and BI tools (e.g. Looker, Metabase)
  • Experience leading a team of 2+ engineers, with a background as an analytics engineer or in a similar technical role
  • Demonstrated experience in data modeling, managing data quality, and ensuring efficient data pipeline practices
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Inspires others, instills confidence, and good comprehension of team dynamics, coaching and mentoring
  • Great communication, project management skills and ability to lead technical discussions
  • Strong ability to work independently and self-guided, and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn and develop
  • Writes and speaks fluent English

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and mentor a group of 2-5 analytics engineers
  • Ensure the delivery of robust, high-quality data models and analytical solutions
  • Leading a distributed team of engineers, providing regular feedback, coaching and mentoring
  • Working closely with Data Leadership and stakeholders on defining, prioritising and delivering our roadmap
  • Building relationships with stakeholders to best support their needs, and ensuring we deliver impactful work in a timely manner
  • Active contribution to developing and delivering engineering solutions, either through direct work or technical guidance
