Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and technical leadership to the engineering team
  • Develop and execute the engineering roadmap to align with corporate strategy and objectives as part of the executive team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, aligning engineering efforts with business goals
  • Collaborate with product management and cross-functional teams to define requirements and roadmap
  • Lead end-to-end product implementation execution, ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery
  • Lead the continued design and development of our scalable, compliant, and secure platform
  • Build and mentor a diverse, engaged, and high-performing engineering team
  • Translate company strategy into clear department goals and performance expectations
  • Engage in career development conversations to ensure proper growth and development of all team members
  • Drive architectural decisions for scalability, reliability, and security in partnership with your engineering leadership team
  • Implement best practices for software development, delivery, and quality assurance
  • Balance tradeoffs between velocity and quality to ensure the right balance for a startup moving into a scaleup

Position Overview:

We are seeking a collaborative, communicative, and performance-oriented VP of Engineering to lead our department and drive innovation in our Email Authentication as a Service platform. You will shape our technology strategy, oversee product execution, and ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide strategic direction and technical leadership to the engineering team.

About you:

Bonus Points:

  • Experience developing a solution in cybersecurity
  • Experience with FedRAMP, SOC2 Type II compliance
  • Familiarity with email security or DMARC protocols
  • Experience operating with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with DNS and other public network protocols
  • Experience managing teams working in Ruby and Go
