Join Keywords Studios Ottawa's Video Games Proofreaders team as a native speaker of various languages! This position involves proofreading video game content, ensuring text consistency, writing error reports, and performing minor translations. Requirements

• Be proficient in one of the following languages (spoken and written): Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, European Spanish, Finnish, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Korean, Malay, Norwegian, Polish, Romanian, Swedish, Thai, Vietnamese
• Have excellent written & spoken English
• Live in the Ottawa area
• Be available to work from home and in-office according to project demands
• Hold Canadian citizenship, a permanent residency, an open work permit, a Working Holiday Visa, or be in the process of requesting a work permit
• Be able to juggle multiple tasks while managing your time efficiently
• Be comfortable with digital technologies (computers, video game consoles, touchscreens)
• Have an interest in the video game industry

Responsibilities

• Proofread texts and video game content (spelling, syntax, typography)
• Check texts for consistency and recommend changes where necessary
• Write error reports
• Perform minor, simple translations
• Ensure subtitles match the audio tracks

Preferred Qualifications

Have experience in a similar position or in a related field

• $19.40 per hour (bonus of $2.50 per hour after 7:00 PM)
