Summary
Join Revamp's summer internship program and gain valuable experience in renewable energy! This 12-week, full-time, paid internship offers the opportunity to work on utility-scale solar and energy storage projects. You'll learn about PV solar and energy storage system components, utilize AutoCAD, and contribute to detailed engineering design documents. The program is open to undergraduate and graduate students with a minimum GPA of 3.2 and relevant coursework. Successful interns may be considered for full-time employment after graduation. The internship can be fully remote or in-office, depending on location. A part-time or co-op arrangement may also be possible.
Requirements
- Minimum 60 semester hours completed in an ABET accredited engineering program
- Must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate level program with a minimum GPA of 3.2/4
- Must demonstrate knowledge of engineering concepts and theories
- Previously demonstrated coursework or internships utilizing AutoCAD software suite
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Efficient time management β must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and independently, including prioritizing, organizing, and planning effectively to meet all deadlines
Responsibilities
- Gain knowledge in PV solar and energy storage system components including modules, racking, inverters, and Balance of Systems
- Gain skill in specialized software tools including AutoCAD
- Support the creation of detailed plan sets and engineering design documents for utility-scale renewable energy projects
- Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, codes
- Work under the direction of full-time staff
- Perform essential duties including meeting deliverables and deadlines
- Perform additional duties as assigned or directed
Preferred Qualifications
Coursework or prior internship experience in solar / renewable energy technology is desirable
Benefits
- Hourly-based, paid internship, approximately 40 hours per week during the summer
- At the completion of the program, the intern may be evaluated and considered for possible future full-time employment upon graduation
- Twelve-week full-time summer program performed either fully remotely or in-office if local
- Schedule will be adjusted to accommodate studentβs summer vacation
- A part-time or co-op arrangement may be possible during the Spring/Fall 2024 academic terms
